Our Gluten-Free Policy

We are committed to offering safe options for customers with coeliac disease or gluten sensitivity.

What we can offer gluten-free:

  • Fresh haddock in our dedicated gluten-free batter
  • Fresh Chicken in our dedicated gluten free batter
  • Chips (fried in a separate fryer used only for gluten-free items)
  • mushy peas / curry sauce / gravy
  • Other uncoated items (smoke sausage)

Important safety information:
We take cross-contamination seriously and use a separate fryer and dedicated utensils/tools for all gluten-free orders.

However, our kitchen is not a dedicated gluten-free environment. Flour is used on site daily for our regular battered items, so there is a small risk of airborne particles or trace cross-contact.

We cannot guarantee 100% gluten-free meals for customers with severe coeliac disease or extreme sensitivity.

How to order safely:

  • Please tell us clearly when ordering that you require gluten-free
  • Ask for your food to be prepared in the gluten-free fryer and with separate tools.
  • We’re happy to answer any questions about ingredients or preparation — just ask!
